1. About these terms

These terms apply when you use dearbreadwinner.com, take the free Breadwinner Self-Check, or buy a Dear Breadwinner digital product. Dear Breadwinner is run by Joanna Rose Samudio in the Philippines. By buying or using the site, you agree to these terms.

2. What you’re buying

Breaking the Dependency Cycle is a digital product: a 177-page eBook with reflection and application exercises after every chapter, delivered as a downloadable PDF. No printed copy is shipped. Prices are in Philippine pesos and are shown on the site at the time you buy.

3. Payment

Payments are processed by PayMongo, a licensed Philippine payment provider. You can pay with GCash, Maya, QR Ph or card. We never see or store your card or e-wallet details.

4. Delivery

Right after your payment is confirmed you’ll see your download page, and we’ll email the same link to the address you entered. The link is personal to you and works for up to 10 downloads. If you lose it or have trouble downloading, message us and we’ll send it again.

5. Refunds

Because the eBook is a digital file you can download right away, all sales are final and we don’t offer refunds once an order is paid. The one exception: if you were accidentally charged twice for the same order, message us within 7 days and we’ll refund the extra payment. If you have any trouble downloading, we’ll simply send you a fresh link.

6. Your personal copy

The book and its materials are protected by copyright. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to read and print them for your own use. Please don’t share, resell, upload or copy them for others. If someone you know would benefit, point them to dearbreadwinner.com. We may turn off a download link that has been shared publicly.

7. Who owns what

The book, the Breadwinner Self-Check, the Dependency Cycle framework, and all text and images on this site belong to Joanna Rose Samudio. You may share links to the site, but please don’t copy its content.

8. Not professional advice

The book, the Self-Check and our emails are for education and reflection. They are not professional financial, legal, medical or psychological advice. If you are in crisis or need expert help, please talk to a qualified professional.

9. The Self-Check

The Breadwinner Self-Check is a reflection tool, not a clinical or scientific test. Your profile is a starting point for thinking about your situation, not a diagnosis.

10. Our responsibility

We do our best to keep the site and downloads working. To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility for any purchase is limited to the amount you paid for it.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page is the one that applies to new purchases. These terms follow the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
