Dear Breadwinner
Privacy Notice
Last updated October 2026
Dear Breadwinner, run by Joanna Rose Samudio, respects your privacy and handles your personal information in line with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
What we collect
- When you take the Self-Check: your first name, email address, your answers, and your scores and profile.
- When you buy: your full name, email address, order number, amount, payment method type and payment status. Your card or e-wallet details go straight to PayMongo; we never receive them.
- Email activity: which of our emails were sent to you and whether you unsubscribed.
Why we use it
- To show and email you your Self-Check results.
- To process your order and send your download link.
- To send a short series of letters and occasional updates for breadwinners, including news about our books. Each email has an unsubscribe link.
- To answer your messages and keep basic records of sales.
We never sell or rent your information.
Who helps us
We use a few trusted services to run the site: Cloudflare (website hosting and data storage), PayMongo (payments) and Resend (sending email). They only process your information to provide these services to us. Some of them may store data on servers outside the Philippines, with safeguards in place.
How long we keep it
We keep your Self-Check and subscriber details for up to 3 years after your last activity with us, or less if you ask us to delete them sooner. Order records are kept as long as the law requires for accounting and tax purposes.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it. You can stop our emails anytime with the unsubscribe link. To make a request, message us on Facebook or reply to any of our emails. You may also contact the National Privacy Commission.
Cookies
The public site doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies. While you answer the Self-Check, your answers are kept in your own browser so a refresh doesn’t lose them.
